"Can't see the forest through the trees" indicates the inability to see the whole when we're fixated on only part of our experience. Seeing flowers on the trees is being mindful of the gifts and little things we are grateful for rather than getting stuck in just part of the picture. Even as we may find ourselves in a season when the only white to be expected is frost and snow, see the flowers on the trees and notice how being thankful for life's little gifts can create a whole new view.
