Lorena Hickock to Eleanor Roosevelt
(March 7, 1893 – May 1, 1968) was an American journalist known for her close relationship with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.


Today The Supreme Court will hear Windsor vs. The United States of America. Windsor, at 83, is fighting for the right to enjoy the benefits of the life she built with her partner over 40 years -- without penalty of taxation, something the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) prohibits. Edie Windsor would make Lorena Hickock and Eleanor Roosevelt proud.
